Hide actions & automations

If your organization has standardized on workflows, you can hide actions & automations, Port's legacy execution system, across the Port UI.

This gives your developers a single, consistent way to run things, and keeps builders from creating new classic actions alongside your workflows.

This setting is off by default, so nothing changes for your organization until an admin turns it on.

Turn on the toggle

  1. Click your profile picture and select Settings.
  2. Open the Actions and Automations tab.
  3. Turn on Hide classic actions and automations in favor of workflows.
  4. Click Save.
Who can toggle actions & automations
  • Only organization admins can change this setting.
  • This setting applies to the whole organization, for every user.

What gets hidden

AreaWhat changes
Self-service hubOnly workflows are listed. The empty state points users to workflows instead of actions.
Runs historyThe classic Runs tab is removed from the run history dialogs, so only workflow runs appear.
NavigationAutomations disappear from the builder menu, the workflows sidebar, and the settings pages. Direct automation URLs redirect.
SearchThe Actions tab is removed from the search dialog, and workflows become searchable there instead.
BuilderThe actions and automations tabs are removed from the blueprint wizard and from blueprint nodes in the data model graph.
DashboardsAction widgets are no longer offered in the widget creation dialog.
Entity menusClassic actions are no longer offered in an entity's actions menu.
Audit logThe audit log page no longer shows actions, automations, and runs tabs.
Your existing actions keep running

The toggle changes what the UI shows, nothing else. Existing actions and automations are not deleted or disabled: they keep responding to their triggers and remain available through the API and Terraform. Turning the toggle back off restores every surface listed above.
